Which Credit Card Has Uber Benefits?

Unlock savings and perks! Find the best credit cards that offer Uber cash, statement credits, or complimentary Uber One membership. Learn how to maximize your benefits.

Credit card companies often partner with popular services to offer valuable perks, with benefits related to ride-sharing and food delivery platforms like Uber becoming common. These partnerships provide financial savings or membership advantages that align with everyday spending. Understanding which credit cards offer these benefits can help consumers maximize their value and save on transportation and meal services.

Credit Cards Providing Uber Cash or Statement Credits

Many credit cards offer direct monetary value for Uber services through Uber Cash or statement credits, reducing the cost of rides and food deliveries. The American Express Platinum Card provides up to $200 in Uber Cash annually, distributed as $15 monthly with an additional $20 in December. This cash is usable for rides and Uber Eats orders in the U.S. and automatically applies to eligible transactions, though it does not roll over.

The American Express Gold Card offers up to $120 in Uber Cash annually, delivered as a $10 monthly credit. Like the Platinum Card, this requires linking the card to your Uber account, and monthly credits expire if unused. Both Amex cards require an Amex card as the payment method for redemption.

Beyond direct Uber Cash, some cards offer cashback or statement credits. Capital One Savor, SavorOne, and SavorOne Student cardholders can earn an unlimited 10% cashback on Uber and Uber Eats purchases through November 14, 2024.

While not offering direct Uber Cash, the Chase Sapphire Reserve card provides 3 points per dollar on travel, including Uber rides. Its $300 annual travel credit can also cover Uber costs. The Chase Sapphire Preferred Card offers 2 points per dollar on travel purchases, including Uber. These point-earning structures offer value, especially for frequent travelers.

Credit Cards Offering Uber One Membership

Beyond direct cash or statement credits, several credit cards offer complimentary or discounted Uber One memberships. Uber One typically provides $0 delivery fees on eligible food and grocery orders, up to 10% off eligible Uber Eats orders, and a 5% discount on eligible Uber rides. The standard monthly cost is around $9.99, or $96 annually.

Capital One Savor, SavorOne, and SavorOne Student cardholders can receive a complimentary Uber One membership through November 14, 2024. This is activated by signing up through the Uber app using an eligible Capital One card, with the monthly fee reimbursed via statement credit.

Capital One Quicksilver, QuicksilverOne, and Quicksilver Secured cardholders also benefit from a complimentary Uber One membership for up to six months, through November 14, 2024. The Apple Card offers a free six-month trial of Uber One’s monthly subscription, activated by signing up via a specific link and using Apple Pay with the Apple Card. Subsequent Uber purchases must also use Apple Pay.

American Express extends Uber One benefits to select Delta SkyMiles American Express Card members. Delta SkyMiles Platinum, Platinum Business, Reserve, and Reserve Business cardholders can receive a monthly statement credit for the Uber One membership fee for up to 12 consecutive months. Delta SkyMiles Gold and Gold Business American Express Card members receive a similar benefit for up to six consecutive months. These benefits require enrollment and are valid for specific sign-up periods, such as June 26, 2025, to June 25, 2026.

Activating and Tracking Your Uber Benefits

To fully utilize credit card benefits with Uber, cardholders must properly link their eligible cards and understand how the benefits are applied and monitored. The initial step involves adding your credit card to your Uber account. This process is generally straightforward: open the Uber app, navigate to the “Account” section, select “Wallet” or “Payment,” and then choose “Add payment method.” You can typically enter your card details manually or use the app’s scanning feature for convenience.

Once the card is linked, the application of benefits varies depending on the type of perk. For Uber Cash, such as that provided by American Express cards, the funds are usually automatically deposited into your Uber Cash balance each month. When making a purchase or ordering a ride, Uber Cash is typically applied first by default. If the transaction cost exceeds your available Uber Cash balance, the remaining amount will be charged to the primary payment method on file. Some benefits may require you to ensure Uber Cash is toggled “on” in the payment screen before completing a transaction.

For benefits that provide statement credits, like the Uber One membership reimbursement or cashback offers, the process differs. The eligible charge for the Uber One membership or the Uber transaction is initially posted to your credit card. The credit card issuer then applies a statement credit to your account, offsetting that charge. This typically appears on your credit card statement within a few billing cycles.

Monitoring your benefits is crucial to ensure you are receiving the full value. Your Uber Cash balance can be conveniently viewed within the “Wallet” section of the Uber app. For statement credits, it is important to regularly check your credit card statements to confirm that the expected credits have been applied. Additionally, cardholders should review the specific terms and conditions for each credit card benefit. These terms often outline important details such as monthly cycles for credit issuance, expiration dates for Uber Cash (which often do not roll over), and specific eligible transaction types. Understanding these nuances helps prevent forfeiture of benefits and ensures optimal usage.
