What Stores Accept Afterpay? See the Top Retailers

Maximize your shopping flexibility. Discover a vast array of retailers accepting Afterpay and streamline your purchasing experience.

Afterpay is a “buy now, pay later” service that allows consumers to acquire goods and services immediately and pay for them in interest-free installments. This service enables shoppers to manage expenditures by breaking purchases into smaller, more manageable amounts, provided payments are made on time.

Major Retail Categories Accepting Afterpay

Afterpay is accepted across many retail categories. In the fashion and apparel sector, numerous brands integrate Afterpay into their checkout processes. This extends to beauty and cosmetics, and home goods. Electronics retailers often accept Afterpay. Sporting goods and jewelry stores also commonly offer Afterpay. Additionally, Afterpay has expanded into the travel industry, allowing for installment payments on flights and accommodations with select providers.

Finding Specific Afterpay Retailers

Consumers can find Afterpay retailers using several methods. The Afterpay mobile application features a “Shop” directory. Within this section of the app, users can browse various categories or search for particular stores to see if Afterpay is an available payment option. This in-app directory helps users discover both online and in-store partners.

For online shopping, many retailers display the Afterpay logo on their websites or at checkout. This visual cue indicates that the service can be used for purchases on that site.

When shopping in physical stores, the Afterpay app’s “In-Store” tab can be used to locate nearby businesses that accept Afterpay. This feature helps shoppers identify participating locations before making a purchase.

How to Use Afterpay for Purchases

Using Afterpay for online purchases typically involves selecting it as the payment method during the checkout process on a participating retailer’s website. After choosing Afterpay, consumers are directed to log into their existing Afterpay account or quickly create a new one. The purchase amount is then split into four interest-free installments. The first payment is due at the time of purchase, with the subsequent three payments automatically deducted from a linked debit or credit card every two weeks over a six-week period.

For in-store transactions, the process begins by setting up the Afterpay Card within the Afterpay mobile application. This digital card can then be added to a mobile wallet service, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, on a smartphone. When ready to pay at a physical store, the consumer simply opens their digital wallet and selects the Afterpay Card, then taps their phone on the card reader to complete the transaction. The purchase is then similarly divided into four interest-free payments over six weeks.
