The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) website offers a tool where users can enter their zip code to find nearby participating stores. If signs are not visible, or online tools are unavailable, directly asking a gas station attendant or store clerk can confirm EBT acceptance. EBT acceptance at gas stations applies specifically to the convenience store portion for eligible food items, not for fuel purchases at the gas pumps.

Eligible Purchases with EBT

EBT benefits are specifically designated for purchasing eligible food items intended for consumption off-premise. This means that while a gas station convenience store might accept EBT, only certain products within that store can be bought using SNAP funds.
