What ATMs Take a Cash App Card?

Seamlessly manage your Cash App funds. Learn how to confidently use your card at ATMs, understand costs, and get your cash.

The Cash App Card functions as a Visa debit card, directly linked to your Cash App balance. It allows users to make purchases online and at physical retail locations where Visa is accepted. The card also provides access to cash through automated teller machines.

Locating Compatible ATMs

The Cash App Card, a Visa debit card, can be used at any automated teller machine (ATM) displaying the Visa logo. For surcharge-free withdrawals, Cash App partners with the Allpoint network. This network offers over 55,000 locations globally, often found within retail stores and convenience outlets.

To locate these fee-free machines, use the ATM locator feature within the Cash App. Navigate to the “Card” tab and select “Find an ATM.” The app will display a map highlighting nearby in-network ATMs, with addresses and operating hours. Using machines outside the Allpoint network will typically result in additional fees.

Navigating ATM Fees

When using a Cash App Card for cash withdrawals, users may encounter two distinct types of fees. Cash App generally imposes its own fee of $2.50 for each ATM withdrawal. In addition, the ATM operator may levy a separate surcharge, which can vary depending on the machine and its location. This means a single withdrawal could involve charges from both Cash App and the ATM owner.

A significant benefit for users is avoiding both Cash App’s fee and the ATM operator’s surcharge by using Allpoint network ATMs. Cash App also offers fee waivers for its $2.50 charge to users who receive $300 or more in direct deposits into their Cash App account within a calendar month. This direct deposit qualification provides unlimited free withdrawals at in-network ATMs and includes one instantly reimbursed out-of-network withdrawal per calendar month. Before completing any transaction, ATMs typically display on-screen prompts detailing any fees, allowing users to review potential costs.

Performing a Cash Withdrawal

Once a compatible ATM has been located and any potential fees are understood, performing a cash withdrawal with a Cash App Card is a straightforward process. The initial step involves inserting the Cash App Card into the ATM’s card reader. Following this, the user will be prompted to enter their personal identification number (PIN) to authenticate the transaction.

After successful PIN entry, select “Withdrawal” or “Get Cash” from the ATM menu. If prompted, choose “Checking” as the account type for Cash App balances. Enter the desired withdrawal amount, keeping in mind Cash App’s limits of $1,000 per transaction, daily, and weekly. Be aware that some ATMs may have lower per-transaction limits, such as $310, which could necessitate multiple withdrawals to reach the daily maximum. Finally, confirm the transaction details; the cash and card will then be dispensed.
