Knowing your Chase card’s delivery status provides peace of mind and aids financial planning. This article guides you on how to track your new or replacement Chase card.
Before attempting to track your Chase card, gather specific pieces of information. You will need the application reference number if you are waiting for a newly approved card. For identity verification and to access your account details, be prepared to provide the last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN) and the ZIP code associated with your application or account.
Having the primary phone number on file with Chase can also assist in confirming your identity and retrieving account information. You can usually find the application reference number in the confirmation email received after applying, or on the application status page if you applied online. For replacement cards, your existing account statements or online banking profile will hold the necessary identifying details.
Chase provides online tools to check the status of your card delivery. Log into your Chase Online account or the Chase Mobile app. If you are awaiting a new credit card, navigate to the “Application Status” section, typically found within the main menu of your online account. Here, you can input the required personal information to view the status of your application and card shipment.
For replacement credit or debit cards, once logged in, select the relevant account and look for options like “More,” “Account services,” or “Replace a card” within the card details. The online platform should then display updates such as “shipped,” “in transit,” or “delivered.” Standard delivery for a new or replacement card takes between five to seven business days.
You can also track your card by contacting Chase customer service by phone. For personal credit card inquiries, you can reach customer service at 1-800-432-3117. For personal banking and debit card questions, the number is 1-800-935-9935. If you are checking the status of a new credit card application, a dedicated line is available at 1-888-338-2586.
When you call, you may first encounter an automated menu system. Be ready to provide the same personal details you would use for online tracking, such as the last four digits of your Social Security Number and your ZIP code, to verify your identity. A customer service representative can then provide the current shipping status of your card, an estimated delivery date, and confirm whether a tracking number is available.
If your Chase card does not arrive within the expected timeframe or if tracking information becomes unclear, take action. Should the online status be stuck or indicate delivery without the card physically present, first check your mailbox, any secure delivery locations around your home, or with neighbors. It is also advisable to wait an additional business day, as delivery updates can sometimes precede the actual arrival.
If the card remains undelivered after waiting or if you suspect it is lost or stolen before arrival, report it immediately. For credit cards, call 1-800-955-9060, and for debit cards, use 1-800-935-9935 to report the card as lost or stolen. This action protects you from unauthorized charges, as your liability for fraudulent transactions is limited once reported. Chase will then issue a replacement card, which arrives within five to seven business days.
