The policy allows for price matches to be requested either at the time of purchase or within 14 days following the purchase date.
Several types of items and scenarios are excluded from Target’s price match policy. These include clearance, closeout, liquidation, damaged, used, open-box, refurbished, or pre-owned items. Additionally, pricing errors, limited-time offers requiring a minimum purchase, gift card promotions, and flash sales are not eligible. Prices that require a login or placement in a cart to view are also excluded.
To successfully request a price match at Target, gathering specific and verifiable information about the lower price is important. The item must be precisely the same as the one you intend to purchase or have already purchased from Target. This includes verifying the brand name, exact model number, size, color, weight, and quantity. Even minor differences can result in a denied request.
Proof of the lower price must be presented clearly, either as a digital display on your mobile device from Target.com or the Target app, or from a print advertisement from a Target store. The displayed price needs to be current and valid at the time of the request. Screenshots or blurry images are not accepted as valid proof.
The item must also be in stock at the Target location or on Target.com at the time of the price match request. If the item is out of stock at the source of the lower price, a price match will not be granted. Verifying these details before making a request can streamline the process.

For in-store purchases, you can initiate a price match request at any checkout lane or at the Guest Services desk.
