Cricket Wireless offers solutions to help customers maintain uninterrupted service. For those who need a little more time to pay their mobile bill, Cricket provides a program designed to offer payment flexibility. This program allows customers to temporarily adjust their payment schedule, helping to prevent service disruptions.
Cricket Wireless offers a payment extension solution known as BridgePay, which allows customers to split their monthly bill into two separate payments. This program provides an additional seven days to pay the second portion of the bill. BridgePay is available to existing Cricket customers with an active monthly plan. To be eligible, customers must enroll within seven days before or after their original payment due date.
A fee is associated with using BridgePay: $5 for a single-line account and $15 for a multi-line account. This fee, along with a portion of the total bill, is paid upfront. Only one BridgePay setup is permitted per billing cycle. AutoPay must be temporarily disabled to enroll in BridgePay, though it can be reactivated once enrollment is complete.
Initiating a payment extension with Cricket Wireless through the BridgePay program involves several steps. Customers can set up BridgePay through various convenient methods, including online via the Cricket Wireless website or the myCricket app, by calling customer service, or by visiting a Cricket store. When accessing the online portal or app, customers navigate to the billing and payment section to find the BridgePay option.
Customers will need to provide their account information and agree to the terms of the BridgePay program, including the associated fee and the split payment schedule. The initial payment, which includes the BridgePay fee and a portion of the bill, is due at the time of enrollment. For those preferring phone assistance, calling customer service or dialing 611 from a Cricket phone can connect you with a representative. In-store representatives are also available to assist with immediate setup.
Once a BridgePay extension is approved, the account’s monthly due date resets to accommodate the split payment. Customers receive a new payment schedule, with the second payment typically due seven days after the initial BridgePay activation or seven days after the original due date. Cricket Wireless sends text message reminders one day before the second payment is due to help customers stay on track. Adhering to this new due date is important to prevent service interruption.
If the second BridgePay payment is missed, service will be suspended. To restore service, the customer must pay the full amount of the next month’s bill, in addition to any outstanding BridgePay balance. A BridgePay Extension may be available for an additional seven days, provided it is requested within the original BridgePay period and the associated fee is paid immediately. If an extension is not possible, customers can explore other options like temporary plan changes or contacting customer support.
